Job summary

Encon Staffing Associates Ltd is seeking a Technical Manager for a profitable East Midlands house-builder. You'll come from an engineering background and lead a multidisciplinary technical team, setting priorities and milestones to keep projects on track.

You will coordinate consultant design, ensure Buildability and regulatory compliance, and work closely with production for design changes, while supporting procurement with technical input and risk management.

House Building - Technical Manager:

A profitable house-builder of repute, are looking for a Technical Manager from an Engineering background in the East Midlands region.

You may be a Technical Manager, or a Senior Engineer / Engineering Manager, looking to progress to the next stage of your career and will be experienced with the UK house-building industry.

Duties:

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary technical team
• Setting priorities, responsibilities and delivery milestones
• Manage consultant design and information
• Drive buildability and technical coordination departments
• Oversee planning condition discharge, Building Regulations compliance, warranties, statutory approvals and technical submissions.
• Work closely with Production teams to resolve site queries, design changes and construction deviations quickly, protecting programme and quality.
• Support Commercial teams with technical input to procurement, value engineering, risk mitigation and design change control.
• Manage technical/legal interfaces including consultant appointments, easements, highways and infrastructure agreements, and development/partnership requirements.
• Act as Principal Designer, coordinating design risk information, reviews and communication with the Principal Contractor and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate practical completion and handover information to support an efficient close-out and occupation process.
