Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Technical Lead - Temporary Works to provide technical leadership across the business and drive excellence in temporary works engineering. You will act as the technical authority and Designated Individual for Temporary Works Design, shaping standards and leading engineering assurance on major projects.

Based at any UK & Ireland office, you will develop capability, champion innovation, deliver audits and oversee external design partners while leading competency and

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE, IStructE or equivalent.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Extensive experience in temporary works design, assurance and governance.

Responsibilities

• Act as BAM UK & Ireland's technical authority for temporary works design.
• Provide expert guidance and assurance on complex engineering challenges.
• Lead technical governance, audits and design assurance activities across the business.
• Develop and maintain temporary works standards, procedures and best practice.
• Drive engineering excellence, quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead competency, training and professional development programmes for temporary works designers.
• Support recruitment, succession planning and capability development within the Temporary Works CoE.
• Oversee technical performance and assurance of external design partners.
• Champion innovation and digital engineering in temporary works delivery.
