Job summary

MBDA UK in Stevenage is seeking a Technical Lead for Power Electronics and Firing Units. The role leads a team of engineers from feasibility through production, delivering high-integrity electronic sub-systems while meeting quality, cost and schedule targets.

The position offers hybrid working (typically 3 days on site) and a relocation package where possible. Security clearance BPSS is required post-offer, with eligibility restrictions.

Qualifications

• Ideally, degree qualified with significant post qualification experience in Electronic Design, Qualification and Certification Experience
• Effective Leadership of a small to medium sized team to undertake design activities in accordance with assigned budgets
• Knowledge and understanding of developing a product from technical requirements
• Good understanding of the product lifecycle and product configuration
• Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders in order to deliver technical product definition
• Ability to navigate product(s) through qualification and the certification phase
• Experience in planning, control and delivery of assigned projects or work packages ensuring requirements are delivered to plan

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers deployed to the project and work with other departments as required
• Oversee feasibility, technology assessments through to detailed design, qualification, certification and transition to production
• Ensure products meet quality, cost and schedule targets with multidisciplinary stakeholders
