Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a Technical Lead to join the National Programmes Team to coordinate, monitor, support and report on nationally important programmes focused on performance and technical progress across civil engineering schemes.

The role involves leading strategy with the Head of National Programmes, defining asset needs, collaborating with engineers, project managers and scheme delivery teams, and overseeing studies, design and delivery, including budget management and asset

Qualifications

• Incorporated Engineer or near Chartered Engineer status.
• Civil Engineering degree, HND or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the National Programmes team and support the Head of National Programmes on strategy and direction.
• Identify, scope, prioritise and manage asset needs to meet governance and business objectives.
• Collaborate with engineers, Project Managers, Planning & Development managers and Scheme Delivery managers to ensure programmes reflect asset needs and policies.
