University of Brighton is seeking a Technical Instructor to support teaching and research activities in the metal working facilities. The role involves manufacturing, assembling, installing and machining bespoke components, and guiding students in a busy technical department at the Moulsecoomb campus.
You will train in all aspects of the role, contribute to a high-quality service in a team environment, and communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

This will see you provide technical support for a range of teaching and research activities within the Technical department.
As a Technical instructor your current skills will be utilised to manufacture, assemble, install and machine bespoke components to various specifications as well as instructing and supporting students from diverse backgrounds. Training in all aspects of the role will be given but an enthusiasm for delivering a high-quality service to our students as part of a larger technical team.
This permanent role is full time with a generous paid 5 weeks starting annual leave entitlement in addition to bank holidays and pension scheme. This role is based in our modern teaching and research facilities on our Moulsecoomb campus.
This position is available on a job share arrangement.
