Our systems are developed to meet the latest Building Regulations and are suitable for a wide range of construction types and building heights. We pride ourselves not only on the technical excellence of our products, but also on the high calibre of technical support we provide to our customers and partners.

We are looking for a Technical Hub Coordinator to join our Technical Department and play a key role in supporting the Technical Hub Team.

This is a varied role combining technical administration, CAD drawing, technical documentation and customer support. You will help prepare, coordinate and manage technical information including project specifications, U-Value calculations, technical submittals, system details and technical data.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Preparing technical documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, U-Value calculations, technical data sheets and other technical documents.
  • Preparing and issuing standard and bespoke system detail drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Preparing and issuing project-specific U-Value calculations using JPA software.
  • Preparing and issuing PermaRock system specifications following relevant training.
  • Maintaining and updating internal technical databases, product registers and system documentation.
  • Supporting the preparation of project-specific technical data and submittals for clients and specifiers.
  • Mentoring and developing the Technical Assistant, particularly in reading drawings, compiling details and responding to technical queries.
  • Supporting clients and customers by telephone and video conference with technical queries.
  • Liaising with internal teams including Sales, Technical Services and the Laboratory to coordinate technical information and respond to queries.
  • Organising and maintaining digital and physical filing systems, ensuring technical records are accurately catalogued and accessible.
  • Monitoring shared mailboxes and ensuring technical enquiries are directed to the appropriate team member.
  • Supporting the wider team with other duties as required to help ensure the smooth running of the business.
About You

We’re looking for someone who is technically minded, highly organised and comfortable working in a busy environment where accuracy and deadlines are important.

You Will Ideally Have
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A–C) or equivalent*, including Mathematics and one Science subject.
  • A full UK driving licence, as occasional site visits or meetings may be required.
  • Full proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work accurately and effectively under time constraints.
  • Experience working in a construction or retrofit environment.
  • Experience dealing with clients, contractors and customers in a business‑to‑business environment, including by telephone and video conferencing.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
  • Some people‑management or mentoring experience would also be desirable.

Knowledge of external wall insulation and exterior render systems, including installation, detailing and performance criteria, as well as experience producing technical specifications and U‑Value calculations, would be advantageous.

What we’re looking for in your approach
Above All, You’ll Have
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A reliable, punctual and trustworthy approach.
  • A friendly, approachable and customer‑focused attitude.
  • The ability to handle information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • A willingness to undertake training and ongoing professional development.
Why join PermaRock?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established technical team working at the forefront of external wall insulation and render systems within the new build, refurbishment and decarbonisation sectors.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, work across a range of projects and build strong relationships with colleagues, customers and industry professionals. Full in‑house training will be provided where required, including training on JPA software and PermaRock system specifications.
