Technical Event Project Manager (working across both Exhibitions and Investigator Meeting Delivery)

We are in search of a Technical Event Project Manager to join our team to ensure the successful project management and delivery of exhibition booths for our Pharmaceutical Clients.

About The Technical Event Project Manager

As the Technical Event Project Manager, you will have experience of event production where you have had oversight of the planning, vendor management and execution of live meetings and events, including exhibition build and project management. You will be responsible for activities supporting the successful project management, planning, and production of conferences and exhibitions for our Pharmaceutical Clients. You will collaborate with and work alongside Account and Event Project Management team members to deliver projects on time, to scope, and within budget. You will monitor progress, address delays, and keep Clients, project teams, and suppliers informed.

You will be proficient at working with, leading, and directing suppliers and managing issue resolution during planning and onsite delivery of exhibition booth build and execution. Knowledge of services such as electrics, water, Wi-Fi, rigging, along with understanding health and safety risk assessments, is essential to ensure all projects are delivered safely. You will oversee the production of key components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and maintaining high quality standards.

You will have experience in event production for in-person meetings, including oversight of audiovisual equipment such as microphones, lighting, projectors, and video conferencing tools to ensure smooth presentations and interactive sessions. You should be confident collaborating with vendors and troubleshooting technical issues during live events.

This position is client-facing, requiring experience in developing relationships, anticipating needs, and managing solutions proactively. You will act as a conduit between stakeholders, briefing design concepts and working closely with suppliers on technical aspects of live meetings and exhibitions.

This is a home-based role with occasional international travel to support live meetings and exhibition project management and construction.

Activities May Include
  • Interacting and developing relationships with clients to present ideas and proposals for live events.
  • Utilizing knowledge of hotels and meeting spaces for capacity planning, stage setups, acoustics, and power supplies.
  • Briefing designers on technical drawings and plans for exhibition booth build and design.
  • Collaborating with the Account Management Team on client briefs and RFPs for business development.
  • Supporting budget scoping, including hours and expenses for live events and exhibitions.
  • Working with venues and suppliers to ensure technical infrastructure complies with health and safety standards.
  • Procurement of assets and supplies for live event delivery and exhibitions.
  • Onsite travel to support event delivery and booth execution.
  • Building relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality delivery.
Who You Are

You bring experience in technical event production for live meetings and events, including exhibitions, within the life sciences industry. Your proficiency spans various technologies and digital solutions. You are committed to delivering quality customer service and have exceptional attention to detail.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, eager to work with a diverse global team. Building relationships with team members, clients, and vendors worldwide is important. You ask questions and research to find answers.

You are resourceful, tackling challenges through independent research and collaboration. You continuously seek to improve processes and find solutions.

Relevant and ongoing experience in technical event production and project management of exhibition booths is required. Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferable.
