Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Welder/Fabricator, Engineer or Machinist from a mechanical fabrication or precision machining background to move into an office-based Coordinating/Estimating role. Full training will be provided, with a clear path to progression and a strong work-life balance.

Based in Bodmin, the role is Monday–Friday, office and workshop based, with a salary of £30,000 - £38,000 plus training, holidays, pension and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and attention to detail are valued.
• Experience in welding, fabrication or machining backgrounds is relevant.
• Full training will be provided to transition into an office-based coordinating/estimating role.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for technical enquiries and specifications from customers, sales team and manufacturing teams.
• Monday–Friday office based responsibilities.
• Provide accurate quotations for projects after upskilling and liaising with manufacturing teams.

Are you a Welder/ Fabricator, Engineer or Machinist from a mechanical fabrication or precision machining background looking to take the step off the tools into an office-based Coordinating / Estimating role with full training provided, whilst also maintaining a great work-life balance in this static Monday-Friday role?

On offer is the opportunity to take the step off the tools into a Technical Office based role whilst continuing to work your way up the ladder for an ever-growing technical engineering company who will offer full training and development.

You’ll be joining an industry-leading Machining, Fabrication and Assembly manufacturing services provider working with a variety of technical manufacturing and engineering service providing companies. It's a hands-on, practical environment where strong communication and attention to detail are genuinely valued.

Once upskilled, you will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for technical enquiries, specifications and manufacturing plans from sales, providing accurate quotations for projects whilst liaising directly with the manufacturing teams amongst other duties.

This role would suit a Welder/ Fabricator, Engineer or Machinist from a mechanical fabrication or precision machining background looking for an office-based role with full training provided as well as excellent progression opportunities as part of a rapidly growing manufacturing group.
