Job summary

Owen Daniels are seeking a German-speaking Technical Engineer to join their engineering team in Lewes, East Sussex. You will act as the key technical contact for German customers, supporting installation, integration and ongoing performance of advanced hardware and software solutions used in public transport.

The role combines hands-on technical support with project work across implementation and ongoing service.

Qualifications

• Fluent German and English language skills.
• Degree in Electronics, Software Engineering, CS, or related discipline.
• Experience with Python, C, C++, Lua or .NET.
• Experience configuring Ethernet networks.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support to customers via telephone, email, and site visits.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Supporting the integration of onboard systems and software.
• Assisting with system installations, upgrades, and retrofits at customer sites.
