Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking a Product Engineer in Droitwich. The role involves travelling across the UK and internationally to commission, install, service, and repair advanced gauges and inspection systems for global customers.

Qualifications

• Experience within Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working independently and travelling internationally.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• A professional approach to working with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the UK and internationally to commission, install, service and repair equipment
• Provide technical troubleshooting, breakdown support and preventative maintenance
• Carry out equipment testing, calibration, upgrades and commissioning
• Provide customer training and develop strong, long-term customer relationships
• Support product trials, demonstrations and technical projects
• Provide office-based technical support when not travelling
• Complete detailed service reports and contribute to continuous improvement
• Identify potential sales opportunities and support excellent customer service

Product Engineer

Location: Droitwich

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a global technology leader specialising in advanced gauges, sensors and inspection systems for the metal packaging industry. You'll provide technical expertise and customer support across an international customer base, travelling to sites across the UK and overseas to commission, install, maintain and optimise specialist engineering equipment.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with customers and building an international career within a highly skilled engineering environment.

The Engineer Role

• Travel throughout the UK and internationally to commission, install, service and repair equipment
