Job description

Binnies' geotechnical team continues to grow due to ongoing successes in tendering. As we enter the next water regulatory period (AMP8), we will be providing geotechnical input for most UK water companies, focusing on storm spill reduction and supporting the development of new reservoirs to safeguard future drinking water supplies.

Our work also includes supporting the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and the Canals and River Trust.

As part of this growth, we are offering more advanced geotechnical services and taking on complex designs, including temporary works. This presents exciting opportunities for staff to learn new skills and contribute to our expanding services. Many schemes are design and build, allowing us to see our designs come to life through construction.

As Technical Director, you will oversee our design solutions, introduce new approaches, and upskill staff.

About the Role:

• Providing technical oversight and direction
• Leading geotechnical work packages

You should have:

• A Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (preferred)
• Chartered status (ideally with ICE or IoM)
• A full UK driving license, as site visits are part of the role
