Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Technical Director (Civil) to lead delivery of civil and structural design for energy projects. The role focuses on FEED, client standards, and multi-disciplinary coordination to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will guide design teams, oversee technical management, and contribute to proposals while ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets within a hybrid working model in the UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIStructE or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery plan for a coordinated civil design including earthworks, drainage, access roads and geotechnical aspects.
• Act as Technical Lead and SME within the team and division.
• Lead FEED and approve detailed civil/structural design drawings for planning and tender packages.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design interfaces and drive value engineering opportunities.
• Support proposal writing with accurate cost estimates and lead FEED for structural components.
