Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Technical Principal in Civil and Structural Engineering within the Energy unit. The role covers design for power plants, HV substations and HVDC interconnectors, with responsibilities spanning project management, FEED, coordination, and drawing preparation.

The ideal candidate has advanced structural knowledge, proficiency in SAP2000/ETABS, BIM experience, and a proven track record leading multidisciplinary projects within energy sectors.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Chartership in Structural/Civil engineering desirable.
Experience in structural engineering with energy projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carry out design on power plants, HV substation/HVDC interconnector, and HV cable projects.
Lead FEED and front-end engineering design activities for structural components.
Prepare drawings for planning applications and tender packages.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs.
Assess existing structures for reuse and safety.
