Job summary

Mott MacDonald is hiring for a Technical Principal in Civil/Structural engineering to join the Energy unit. You will lead design on power plants, HV substations, and cable projects, and drive FEED activities.

You will manage projects, coordinate with architects and electrical engineers, and prepare drawings and specifications. A strong leadership mindset and UK experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced structural engineering knowledge including load-bearing capacity and design codes
• Proficiency with SAP2000/ETABS or similar software
• Experience with BIM and project visualization

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering designs for power generation and HV projects
• Manage timelines, budgets, and quality across projects
• Prepare FEED and tender documentation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs
