A leading academic publisher in the UK is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager in its Integration and Data Engineering team. You will oversee the delivery of integration and data solutions, coordinating a team to ensure efficient project outcomes. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations. This role offers a salary of £70,000 - £80,000 and a hybrid working policy.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical delivery professional to join our Integration and Data Engineering team as the new Technical Delivery Manager.
The Integration & Data Engineering function in OUP's Global Technology division provides technical services and capabilities to support projects and stakeholders across the business. Supporting the publishing divisions, its role is to deliver Integrations and Data assets to support projects and the wider business.

The Integration & Data Engineering team needs a capable Technical Delivery Manager to support and coordinate the many activities with which it is involved. You will report to the Head of Integration & Data Engineering, and work alongside our system integration/delivery partners, enterprise architecture and project teams to ensure efficient delivery. You will lead a team of Data Engineers, Integration Technical Consultants and offshore delivery resources. You will own delivery, coordinating and clarifying prioritisation of incoming requests and ensuring the capacity of the team meets the overall demand. You'll ensure a high level of quality is maintained in the output of the team in all their work. You will require a good technical background to guide the team and shape the delivery of scalable, governed and high-quality solutions.
This role will work closely with project managers and business stakeholders as well as the delivery and support teams to ensure that project objectives and deadlines are met and balance the priorities of the projects with the objectives of Enterprise Architecture, Global Technology and the wider business to ensure we build strategic integration and data services.
You need to have a technical background - you are responsible for delivery outcomes and need to understand the implications and the technical dependencies, and where design decisions need to be made or called out to a wider audience. You will need to anticipate potential issues so that problems can be flagged and avoided.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
