Job description

Job Title: Technical Coordinator

Location: London (Hammersmith or Walton-on-Thames)

As a Technical Coordinator, based in London, you will be responsible for the effective deployment of the sampling field team to ensure that sampling program requirements are met.

This role involves travel to other sites to engage with front-line team members, and a UK driving licence is essential. Working hours include an out-of-hours rota, including 1 in 6 weekends.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond to requests from Customer Service, Water Quality, and Regulatory Response teams to ensure timely handling of customer complaints and inquiries.
  2. Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive approach, working accurately and flexibly within a busy team.
  3. Travel to other sites when needed to collaborate with colleagues across Thames Water’s operational area.
  4. Become an expert in understanding fieldwork and support field operatives when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
  • Understanding of clean water regulations and statutory sampling programs is advantageous; a scientific background is desirable.
  • Ability to take ownership of customer queries and identify solutions promptly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer service experience is helpful.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
  • Proficiency in IT and quick learning of new software.
  • Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours rota.
  • A UK driving licence is required.

  • Salary from £36,240 to £54,360 per annum.
