Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Technical Coordinator for a leading housing contractor in Sheffield. You will coordinate technical information between external consultants and internal teams, ensuring approvals are obtained and information issued for a prompt start on site.

This role demands civil engineering experience, strong project management, and excellent communication. You will work with design and construction teams to manage design information and support on-site progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil Engineering
• Residential Housing sector experience
• Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design and erosion control regulatory approvals (section 38 & 104)
• Strong project management and supervision skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to challenge decisions confidently
• Full UK Driving Licence desirable
• Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering beneficial
• CAD/REVIT skills desirable

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all drawings and details to ensure accuracy and commercial suitability throughout construction
• Chair design team meetings with internal and external participants
• Attend progress meetings on site as required
• Coordinate planning process and review planning approvals to address conditions
• Agree construction specifications, SAP and BIM strategy for the project
• Coordinate submission of Building Control applications and documents
• Liaise with consultants and progress technical matters
• Assist Surveying and Buying Team in review/approval of subcontractor design information
• Ensure timely design information aligned with client requirements

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our team within a Leading Housing contractor in Sheffield. As our Technical Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating all technical information between external consultants and internal departments throughout the construction process. Ensuring all approvals are obtained and information received and issued to allow for a prompt start on site.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Residential Housing sector
• Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control regulatory approvals including all section agreements (section 38 & section 104 designs)
