Job summary

The Collective Network Limited in Abingdon is seeking a Technical Buyer to manage direct commodity purchasing of materials, components and accessories, ensuring on-time delivery and best prices.

You will maintain and develop supplier relationships, work on an MRP system to track requirements and quantities, and drive cost reductions across manufacturing purchases in a premium production environment.

Experience with MRP/SAP is essential.

Qualifications

• MRP/SAP experience in procurement within manufacturing.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers via email/phone/in-person to secure best prices.
• Previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Position Overview

As a Technical Buyer, you will be tasked with purchasing all materials on time, at the highest of quality and the best prices. This will be direct commodity purchasing of materials, components and accessories. You will look to continue current supplier relationships and build new partnerships along the way. You will be working on a modern MRP system, so you know exactly when the materials & parts are required, in what department and the correct quantities!

Requirements

• Previous MRP / SAP system experience within a procurement position

• Previous purchasing experience within a manufacturing business is required
