Job summary

Vectis Recruitment is seeking a Buyer to join a leading manufacturing supplier serving Aerospace, Automotive, Rail and High Technology sectors in Coventry. You will source materials, negotiate with suppliers and manage purchase orders to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement, with a focus on supplier development and performance.

Candidates should have experience in a complex manufacturing environment and be proactive in driving cost savings and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Buyer position role gained in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management abilities.
• Good analytical and organisational skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
