Job summary

Maxwell Bond is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a remote-first role with occasional on-site support in North West England. You will bridge business needs and technical delivery, collaborating across stakeholders and engineering teams through the full SDLC in an Agile environment.

You’ll analyse APIs (REST/OpenAPI), use SQL for data validation, and produce clear documentation including user stories and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in a software delivery environment.
• Solid experience working with APIs (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON).
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA is desirable.
• Experience in financial services is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed business and technical requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business users, developers, and QA teams.
• Work closely with engineering teams throughout the full SDLC within an Agile Environment.
• Analyse and interpret APIs, including reviewing documentation and validating integrations.
• Support API testing activities using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Write clear, structured documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Use SQL to query databases, validate data, and support analysis and troubleshooting.
• This is an individual contributor role (no line management responsibilities).

Up to £70,000 + bonus

We are working with a growing UK-based financial services organisatio n that is investing heavily in its internal technology platforms. They are bringing their tech team inhouse over the next 12-18 months and are focusing on modernising traditional processes and scaling their systems for external use.

You will act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, well-defined, and effectively implemented. This role involve s continuous collaboration with develope rs, rather than a traditional “handover” style of analysis.
