Job summary

Quantum Design Oxford is seeking an experienced Technical Author to deliver clear, accurate documentation for advanced scientific equipment. You will collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to translate complex information into high-quality publications for customers, service teams, and internal users.

You will work within formal review and release processes, maintain document control, and contribute to ongoing improvements in writing standards and publication workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Author or Technical Writer in engineering/science environments.
• Strong working knowledge of MadCap Flare and structured content.
• Experience producing manuals, installation guides, maintenance procedures, or service docs.
• Understanding of document control, revision management, and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain clear, accurate technical docs for complex products.
• Produce manuals, guides, and other controlled publications.
• Use MadCap Flare to author, update, and manage structured content.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and source data accurately.
• Support formal review, approval, and release processes.
