Job summary

Gerrell & Hard Ltd. is seeking an experienced Technical Author to transform complex engineering concepts into clear documentation for sonar, acoustic sensing and subsea technologies.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to produce manuals, guides and technical notes across product lifecycles. You will create and maintain installation, maintenance and service documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance and clarity.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to produce technical documentation for complex engineering products.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand mechanical, electrical and software systems and convey them clearly.
• Experience managing multiple documentation projects to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and improve technical manuals and installation guides.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to capture accurate technical information.
• Ensure documentation is compliant with quality and defence standards.
• Attend design reviews and product demonstrations to gather information.
• Manage documentation under configuration control and update with releases.
