Job summary

IMT Resourcing Solutions Ltd in Worcester is seeking a Technical Author to create and maintain manuals and documentation for specialist equipment in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. You will ensure compliance with Machinery, ATEX, CE/UKCA and coordinate translations, while collaborating with engineering teams to reflect design changes.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical writing qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Experience producing technical documentation for machinery or engineering equipment.
• Understanding of Machinery Regulations, CE/UKCA marking and ATEX.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical information into clear instructions.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain operating, installation and maintenance manuals.
• Compile customer documentation packs and verify supplier certification.
• Ensure documentation complies with relevant Machinery, ATEX and CE/UKCA requirements.
• Work with engineering teams to incorporate design changes and maintain accurate document revisions.
• Produce technical specifications, spare parts lists and conformity documentation.
• Support risk assessments, supplier documentation and customer validation requirements.
• Coordinate translations and create clear, user-friendly technical instructions.
