Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in FinTech is seeking an experienced Technical Author for a 12-month contract. You will create and maintain high-quality technical documentation for complex systems within the Payments and Financial Services sector. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in technical writing and strong skills in using MadCap Flare. This position offers remote work with occasional office presence in London.

An experienced Technical Author is required for a 12-month contract with a leading organisation in the Payments / FinTech / Financial Services sector. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded team delivering clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for complex technical systems.

You’ll be working closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, ensuring consistency across platforms and supporting both internal teams and external users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce clear and concise technical documentation for systems, APIs, and processes
• Work with development and product teams to understand complex requirements and translate them into user-friendly content
• Ensure consistency of tone, style, and formatting across all documents
• Maintain and update documentation to support new features and releases
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve content quality

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Technical Author within Payments, FinTech, or Financial Services industries
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, accessible language
• Strong technical skills in using MadCap Flare is essential
• Experience working with software development teams, ideally in Agile environments
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
