Job summary

Aurora Energy Research is seeking an Associate Product Manager to support the growth of our Asset Analytics suite, including Chronos and Amun. You will work with product managers and leads to execute roadmaps, translate energy market insights into actionable requirements, and coordinate with modellers, engineers, and analysts to deliver high-quality features.

The role emphasizes fast-paced, detail-oriented work, stakeholder coordination, and delivering value across geographies and use cases.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years in an analytical, software, or product-related role, ideally in energy, finance, consulting, or research.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the Asset software platform scaling roadmap aligned with product strategy and business goals.
  • Manage and maintain the product backlog of user needs and feature requests with clear priorities.
  • Translate market insights into structured technical requirements with modellers, software engineers and analysts.
  • Take ownership of defined workstreams from planning through delivery, ensuring timely, quality execution.
  • Drive clarity in project execution and align technical teams with business objectives.
  • Track development progress, identify blockers, and ensure smooth feature rollouts.
  • Document best practices and contribute to process improvements for team efficiency.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities to stay aligned with business needs.

Job description

Aurora’s Asset software suite (Chronos and Amun) helps investors, developers, and utilities navigate complex battery storage, wind and solar investments, directly influencing how storage and renewable assets are deployed across global markets. We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-driven Associate Product Manager to support the development and expansion of our Asset Analytics suite.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality product features and improvements, ensuring smooth coordination between cross-functional teams, and helping scale our Asset software suite across diverse geographies and use cases. You will work closely with Product Managers and Leads to execute the roadmap and drive initiatives that align with user needs and market trends.

This role is fast-paced and detailed-oriented, requiring strong problem solving skills, organisational abilities, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate is someone who can execute efficiently, apply feedback holistically, and drive deliverables forward while collaborating effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of our Asset software platform scaling roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader product strategy and business goals

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required attributes:

  • 3-6 years of experience in an analytical, software, or product-related role, ideally in energy, finance, consulting, or research
  • Quick, self-directed learner with the ability to ramp up quickly in complex domains
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying key patterns in data and applying insights to product execution
  • Proven ability to manage structured workstreams, ensuring clear alignment between business needs and technical execution
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and track deliverables effectively
  • Competence in data analysis tools (Python, R, Matlab, or similar)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in product management or working with software development teams
  • Familiarity with power market economics, renewables, or storage investments
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies and user research practices
