Liverpool City Council is recruiting for Technical Assistant UTC CCTV Operatives to support the Network Management Team in delivering ITS challenges across Liverpool. You will assist with the management and programming of traffic signals, VMS signs and HVM bollards citywide.

The role requires an Engineering qualification or relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritise workloads while working on highway improvement projects.

The role:

Liverpool City Council’s Network Management Team are recruiting to a number of exciting new positions - offering you the chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovative network management and urban development. We are seeking 2x Technical Assistant UTC CCTV operatives to support the UTC team in delivering ITS challenges across Liverpool. You will play a key role in keeping the city moving through good management, maintenance and programming of traffic signals, VMS signs and HVM bollards across the city. The ideal candidates for the role of Technical Assistant will possess a qualification in Engineering and / or experience in the design, installation, commission and management of citywide traffic signal controls and in the management and delivery of highway improvement, ITS and / or other engineering projects. They must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise their workload.
