Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Major Events Spectator Experience Manager to lead the city-wide spectator and fan experience for major sporting events. You will coordinate city activations, fan zones and live sites, shaping visitor engagement from arrival to departure.

You will work with operations, transport, accessibility, marketing and cultural teams to ensure a seamless, safe and welcoming experience that drives dwell time and economic impact for Liverpool.

Qualifications

The role:

  • The role of Spectator Experience Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of Liverpool's city-wide spectator and fan experience across major sporting events
  • In the role of Spectator Experience Manager, you will act as the voice of the spectator, ensuring that event planning and delivery across multiple partners is informed by spectator needs and aligned to defined experience standards
  • The Spectator Experience Manager will oversee the end-to-end visitor journey, from arrival in the city through to departure, identifying opportunities to enhance engagement, dwell time and economic impact across Liverpool
  • Your experience as Spectator Experience Manager will include coordinating city activations, fan zones, live sites, cultural programming, city dressing and visitor information to create a welcoming, safe and memorable experience
  • The role of Spectator Experience Manager includes working closely with operational, transport, accessibility, marketing, cultural programming and stakeholder teams to ensure integrated event delivery.
  • As Spectator Experience Manager, you will gather insights, capture feedback and lead continuous improvement, helping Liverpool build a lasting reputation for exceptional major event experiences

This role is fixed term for the purpose delivering a programme of major events and will end on 31 July 2028.
