Job summary

Falcon Tower Crane Services in Shipdham, Norfolk, is seeking a full-time Technical Assistant to support the Technical Department. You will produce technical drawings, calculate foundation loadings and crane configurations, manage build sheets, and maintain critical databases with strict document control.

The role requires strong IT skills (Autodesk CAD, Excel, Word, SharePoint), high attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical, engineering, construction or similarly detailed role.
• Experience using Autodesk 2D/3D CAD.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach with initiative and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical drawings, foundation loadings, crane configurations and build sheets.
• Maintain technical databases and document control systems.
• Respond to technical queries from customers and Falcon departments.
• Liaise with crane manufacturers and complete checks on colleagues' work.
• Support crane hire and sales operations.
