Job summary

Falcon Tower Crane Services, part of the Falcon Group, is recruiting a Technical Assistant to join the Technical Department at Shipdham, Norfolk. The role supports both crane hire and sales operations, providing technical and administrative assistance and developing hands-on technical knowledge.

You will produce drawings, loadings, crane configurations and build sheets, maintain databases and document control, and respond to technical queries from customers and internal teams, collaborating with

• Proven experience in a technical, engineering, construction or similarly detailed role.
• Experience using Autodesk 2D/3D CAD.

Job Title: Technical Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Shipdham, Norfolk

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm, with an unpaid lunch break of half an hour.

Salary: £29,000.00 to £33,000.00 per annum, to be discussed on application.

About the Company:

Within the Falcon Group is Falcon Tower Crane Services, the largest tower crane supplier in the UK and one of the largest in the world with just under 450 tower cranes nationwide.Falcon Power Generation operates 400 generators nationwide, along with Falcon Freight who operate a fleet of 40 HGV vehicles supporting artic and rigid HIAB cranes.

We are looking for a full-time Technical Assistant to join our Technical Department at Shipdham, Norfolk.

Comprehensive training and continual support will be provided.The role will evolve over time as you become established, with opportunities to expand your technical knowledge, responsibilities and skills.

The Role:

Working closely with the Associate Technical Director and the wider Technical Department, you will provide technical and administrative support across Falcon's crane hire and sales operations.

You will be responsible for producing technical drawings, foundation loadings, crane configurations and build sheets, as well as maintaining technical databases and document control systems.The role will also involve responding to technical queries from customers and Falcon departments, liaising with crane manufacturers and completing technical checks on colleagues' work.

A key requirement of the role is strong technical and IT knowledge, including experience with Autodesk 2D/3D CAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint, together with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
