Two Roles Available - 18 Month Fixed Term with possibility of going permanent

Location: Felling, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear NE10 0JY

Job Purpose

Working on various R&D projects, you will support activities such as developing new products and technologies, understanding key coating attributes, or testing/supporting existing technologies, products, and processes.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, execute, evaluate, and interpret experiments using best practices.
  2. Conduct experimental and standard paint manufacturing, QA, testing, and application.
  3. Manage planning and daily requirements for assigned projects and support activities.
  4. Collect results and produce reports.
  5. Make recommendations for next steps and communicate key results to colleagues.
  6. Participate in and evaluate trials and inspections.
  7. Identify improvement needs and generate ideas for activities and projects.
  8. Work safely and comply with legal and company regulations.
Job Requirements
  1. Secondary education with 6 BCF Level 3, NACE 1, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  2. Experience working in a busy laboratory environment.
  3. Practical coatings skills, including manufacture, QA, testing, and application.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
