Job summary

d3t, part of Keywords Studios, is seeking a Technical Artist for a 12-month fixed-term contract, based at our UK sites in Daresbury or Newcastle, with a hybrid working pattern (3 days in studio: Wed, Thu and another day of your choice).

Join a team delivering world-class game art across environments, characters, VFX and animation, building pipelines and tools, mentoring others, and staying ahead of industry tech while maintaining anti-crunch ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing and maintaining real-time game art pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Maya or 3DS Max and Python.
• Ability to optimize assets for memory and frame rate.
• Excellent communication within a multidisciplinary art team.
• 2+ years in game development, with at least one published title.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project art pipelines from inception through lifecycle.
• Support art and animation team and resolve technical issues.
• Create and integrate in-house toolsets; develop materials/shaders.
• Ensure artwork meets memory and performance guidelines through profiling.
• Mentor other Technical Artists and share knowledge.
