Job description

Meta Eagle is a fast-growing Managed IT Services Provider based in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. We bring more than just technology to the table, offering a suite of IT services, products, consultancy and monitoring capabilities, all wrapped into one simple monthly model that makes sense for the businesses we serve.

Founded by Lee Robinson, who brings 25 years of hands‑on technical experience across corporate environments, SMEs and military service with the Royal Corps of Signals, Meta Eagle was built on a simple idea: IT should be clear, reliable, and make sense to the people using it. No jargon, no faff. Just IT that works.

We work with SMEs, schools, large corporates, and other IT providers through our white‑label partner programme. This is not a stuffy corporate IT department. It's a lean, motivated, highly capable team genuinely shaking up the industry, and we're looking for someone ready to grow with us.

02 / THE OPPORTUNITY
An ICT Level 3 apprenticeship that genuinely propels your career.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven individual to join a new and growing IT Managed Service Provider in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

You'll join a company with a strong work and social culture, working directly alongside the co‑founder. That gives you a rare insight into not just the relevant technology but also the day‑to‑day operations of an IT business. For the right candidate this could hugely accelerate your career.

Rare opportunity to see both the technical and commercial side of an IT company, working shoulder to shoulder with the co‑founder.

03 / DAY TO DAY
What you'll actually be doing.
  • Responding to IT-related tickets

  • Setting up new PCs and laptops
  • Setting up new users on internal systems
  • Networking PCs to printers, scanners and other hardware
  • Troubleshooting and technical fault diagnostics through remote access and on‑site support
  • Assisting with on‑site projects and migrations
  • Remote support to assist customers with IT‑related issues and queries
  • Administrative tasks such as daily server, monitoring and backup checks
04 / WHAT YOU'LL BRING
The skills and qualities we’re looking for.

You don't need to know everything on day one. The apprenticeship is there to teach you. But you'll get the most out of it if you already have a real interest in technology and the basics below.

  • Understanding of Office 365 and how to install associated applications
  • Some exposure to Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Networking fundamentals and what they do: LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN
  • Understanding of DNS
  • Understanding of computer components and their functions
  • A solid grasp of troubleshooting and fault diagnosis stages
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Good communicator, written and verbal
  • Comfortable with creative thinking and problem solving
  • A genuine team player who enjoys working with others
  • Eager to learn, with a strong work ethic
05 / ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
What you need to apply.

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade A-C (or 4-9), including English and Maths, or equivalent.

06 / TRAINING & PROGRESSION
Where this can take you.

You’ll work towards the ICT Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard on the Support Technician pathway, over roughly 18 months plus the End Point Assessment.

  • A potential full‑time position once the apprenticeship has concluded
  • Pay review on completion of the apprenticeship and good performance
  • The chance to be promoted to a more senior role with additional responsibilities, if your work ethic warrants it
  • Progression onto higher apprenticeships and further training
  • We actively encourage building a career through industry‑recognised qualifications
