Job summary

Excel Construction Recruitment seeks a Technical Advisor for a globally leading building product manufacturer in South Wales. The role focuses on cladding, cavity barriers, insulation and passive fire protection on large New Build and Refurbishment projects.

You will advise on installations, oversee project specifications, support contractors, architects, authorities and surveyors, and prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction sector, ideal in a technical advisor role.
• CAD/Revit experience considered valuable even if not essential.
• Building materials or passive fire protection knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on cladding, cavity barriers, insulation and passive fire protection for new builds and refurbishments.
• Oversee project specifications and advise on installation issues and product queries.
• Support inbound/outbound clients including contractors, architects, authorities, and surveyors.
• Act as the technical contact on live projects and produce drawings using AutoCAD and Rev it.

Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a leading brand within the fire protection and building product sector focusing on large New Build and Refurbishment projects. The company not only boasts excellent training, a strong name in the market but also the opportunity for both personal and career progression.

The Role

The role is to work within the clients technical department focusing on any cladding, cavity barriers, insulation or passive fire protection issues that may arise, this includes overseeing project specifications of both new build and refurbishments, giving advice on any installations issues and product queries, support inbound and outbound clients including approved contractors, architects, local authorities and surveyors, and also as a secondary focus, being the point of contact for any technical issues/questions that may arise throughout any live projects, and also provide technical drawings using computer software such as AutoCAD and Revit.The role is mixed with home and office work from within the South Wales head offices.

The Candidate

The client is looking to hear from candidates who have experience of working within the construction sector ideally from a similar technician or technical advisor role. Alternatively will look at candidates with good CAD/Revit experience, but not essential. Ideally the successful candidate will have building material and passive fire protection experience but product training is provide if this is lacking.
