Job summary

Excel Construction Recruitment is seeking a Technician for a global leading roofing manufacturer in Ipswich. The role involves technical work with roofing, insulation, and waterproofing systems, focusing on architectural drawings, thermal calculations, and supporting contractors and architects on live projects.

Office-based at the Ipswich HQ with hybrid working from home. The candidate should have experience in roofing or related products and be proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software,

Qualifications

• Experience of roofing, insulation or waterproofing products in a technical role.
• Experience with architectural drawings or design software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving and technical issue escalation with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Work with client systems in a technical capacity, handling architectural drawings and thermal calculations.
• Act as point of contact for technical issues on live projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and other design tools.
• Coordinate with sales and project teams to support technical inquiries.

TECHNICIAN - GLOBAL LEADING ROOFING MANUFACTURER - IPSWICH/SUFFOLK

Exciting opportunity to join a global leading brand within the Flat Roofing product sector focusing on Waterproofing membranes, Singly Ply, Green roofing, Hot melt and Felts aligned for both New Build and Refurbishment projects. The Role

The role is to work with the clients range of systems in a technical capacity dealing with architectural drawings, thermal calculations, speaking to approved contractors and architects to help with technical issues, with a secondary focus of being the point of contact for any technical issues/questions that may arise throughout any live projects. Additional responsibility would also be to use design software in AutoCAD to put together detailed drawings and specifications. You will also keep in regular contact with the sales and project teams to help with technical enquiries and lend support where needed.

The Location

The position is office based out of the Ipswich HQ but offers hybrid working from home.

The Candidate
