Job summary

JSS in London is seeking a qualified accountant to own the end-to-end month-end accounting process and deliver robust financial control across complex insurance data. You will lead a small team and collaborate with actuarial, underwriting and regulatory functions to provide accurate financial insights.

The role focuses on producing monthly, quarterly and annual results for premiums, claims and corporate, with a strong emphasis on reconciliations and balance controls to ensure integrity.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 2–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance accounting, including Lloyd's and/or company market principles across claims, underwriting, premiums.
• Proven experience managing and developing a small accounting team - desired.
• Ambition to progress toward Financial Controller, FD or CFO level over time.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of underwriting results, and the month-end accounting process, ensuring accuracy, integrity and strong financial control across complex insurance data.
