We are an eclectic bunch. Our backgrounds include pre-sales, customer support, customer success, consultancy, and project management.
Some of us had a technical background before joining, and experience with tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Zapier, or Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery); but many of us transitioned from commercial roles; we wanted to get deeper into products, and are self-taught technically.
We are not obsessed about years of experience; we look for something deeper.
The main thing is business acumen (especially experience at a scrappy startup), coupled with technical aptitude (especially automation). You probably know how to read a P&L statement and have programmed 'hello world'.
You get that this role is all about creating tangible business value, not getting lost in technical details. In short, you are someone who translates business requirements into results.
