Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Player Coach to lead a small squad of Recruiters while staying hands-on with hiring. This leadership role focuses on developing people and delivering exceptional talent across Product, Engineering, Data and Design.

You will partner with Execs and senior stakeholders to shape hiring plans, design assessment processes and ensure inclusive, high-quality candidate experiences from first conversation through to offer.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Hands-on recruiting experience in tech (Product/Engineering).
• Data-driven with ability to use market insights to shape strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management with executives and VPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small squad of Recruiters, coaching and developing careers.
• Own hiring strategy for the tech business area and partner with Workforce Planning.
• Balance hands-on delivery with team priorities and resource allocation.
• Design effective assessment processes with Hiring Managers.
• Ensure high-quality candidate experiences from initial contact to offer.
