Job summary

Forge Talent in Manchester City Centre is seeking an ambitious Finance Professional to join our growing team. The role focuses on bank reconciliations and cash posting with exposure to intercompany accounting, billing, settlements and broader finance processes.

You will have the chance to contribute to process improvement, automation and AI initiatives to drive efficiency across the finance function, while developing towards professional qualifications with study support.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounting role
• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and cash posting
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
• Experience investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive approach to improving processes
• Study support preferred (AAT/ACCA/CIMA beneficial)

Responsibilities

• Complete daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Post cash and investigate unreconciled transactions
• Resolve reconciliation queries and discrepancies
• Support month-end close
• Assist with intercompany accounting, billing and settlements
• Maintain accurate finance processes and documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes
• Support the wider finance team with continuous improvement

Job description

We are looking for an ambitious Finance Professional to join a growing and established business in Manchester City Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who is looking to develop their career within a Record to Report environment.

The role will focus heavily on bank reconciliations and cash posting, alongside exposure to intercompany accounting, billing, settlements and wider finance processes.

There will also be opportunities to get involved in process improvement, automation and AI, helping to make the finance function more efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts

• Experience with a reconciliation platform would be advantageous
• AAT, ACCA or CIMA studies would be beneficial
