Job summary

Cleo, based in the United Kingdom, is hiring a Tech Lead ML Manager to advance models that understand users' financial lives. You’ll lead the data science squad, own technical direction, and drive production-grade ML, from experimentation to deployment.

You’ll work at the intersection of LLMs and traditional ML, collaborate with product managers and engineers, and help shape the squad's roadmap while mentoring a small team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science, ML engineering or related roles.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Ability to write production quality Python code.
• Experience deploying machine learning models into production.
• Experience with both LLMs and classical machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of ~4 MLEs.
• Deploy ML models into production.
• Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers and analysts to plan and sequence work for the squad.
• Help define the roadmap for the squad/workstream.
