Job summary

Cleo is seeking an ML Engineering Manager to lead the ML workstream behind the Financial Assistant feature. You will manage ML engineers across squads, drive production models into the product, and shape how Cleo uses LLMs to create engaging and accurate conversations about money.

You will own the headcount plan, hiring, and team development, collaborating with data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers to deliver on the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and deploying ML models to production.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams of data scientists and ML engineers.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, agent design and production-grade Python.
• Ability to own an ML roadmap and translate ideas into business impact.

Responsibilities

• Understand core problems faced by the Financial Assistant team and coordinate the ML function's contributions.
• Identify opportunities for model improvements using Cleo's customer data.
• Lead ML engineers across squads, coaching and developing them to deliver the roadmap.
• Build the headcount plan and manage hiring and team development in your area.
