Job summary

Teaching Consultancy UK is recruiting for a specialist SEN school in Tower Hamlets, London. We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including autism and SEMH, in a supportive, nurturing setting.

Role focuses on delivering tailored learning support, using Team Teach strategies to manage behaviour, and collaborating with teachers, therapists and families to achieve personalised learning goals.

Qualifications

• Team Teach certification is essential.
• Experience in a specialist SEN school or SEN provision.
• Confidence supporting pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour.
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils throughout the school day.
• Assist with learning activities inside and outside the classroom.
• Use Team Teach strategies to positively manage behaviour.
• Encourage communication, independence and confidence.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and parents to support individual learning plans.
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
