Job summary

NHS/Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Mental Health and Learning Disability Team at HMP Berwyn. The post is Band 7, full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a permanent contract with a salary of £50,129–£57,365 per annum.

The successful candidate will provide clinical governance, staff development, and lead service improvements to deliver safe, recovery‑focused care in a prison setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification is required.
• Post graduate education in a relevant area is expected.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible and effective leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead implementation of innovative, evidence-based care approaches.
• Ensure governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Support staff development and professional growth.
• Promote a positive, inclusive working environment within the prison setting.
