  • Company pension.
  • Loyalty and referral bonuses ranging from £50 to £500.
  • Comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, plus perks and discounts.
Your role
Supporting children and young people
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that help young people feel listened to, valued and secure.
  • Provide practical and emotional support, encouraging independence and positive choices.
  • Follow individual care plans, supporting each young person’s education, health, emotional wellbeing, cultural needs and personal development.
  • Act as a Key Worker for designated young people, helping to review and update their care plans.
  • Maintain clear, consistent boundaries and respond calmly to challenging situations.
  • Plan and take part in activities, outings and occasional residential trips.
  • Safeguard young people, advocate for their needs and report concerns promptly.
  • Keep accurate, timely and confidential records, contributing to reviews and meetings with families and professionals.
Leading and supporting the team
  • Lead shifts, allocate responsibilities and help colleagues deliver consistent, high-quality care.
  • Support the induction and mentoring of new staff, helping them understand their responsibilities and development objectives.
  • Be a positive role model, promoting respectful communication, teamwork and inclusive practice.
  • Help staff follow care plans, home policies and agreed procedures.
  • Lead or support colleagues during incidents, including physical interventions where required, in line with training and the home’s procedures.
  • Work closely with the management team to maintain a safe, motivated and confident staff team.
Helping the home run effectively
  • Support managers with daily routines, staffing arrangements and the effective use of resources.
  • Maintain clear handovers and accurate records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Work with local authorities, schools, health services and other professionals to support positive outcomes for young people.
  • Help ensure practice reflects the home’s Statement of Purpose, policies and quality standards.
  • Promote equality, respect and anti‑discriminatory practice throughout the home.
