Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a Team Leader for a Children’s Residential Home in Newmarket. You will lead a team of residential support workers, ensuring safe, supportive care and safeguarding practices.

The role involves developing care plans, supervising staff, and coordinating with families and external professionals. The successful candidate will have residential childcare experience, leadership skills, and a commitment to safeguarding young people, with the opportunity for professional

Qualifications

• Experience in residential childcare or similar setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience within a care environment.
• A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and child protection procedures.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of residential support workers.
• Ensuring the highest standard of care for children and young people.
• Promoting independence, emotional well-being and social development.
• Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and daily records.

Location: Newmarket
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Days) & 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM (Nights)

Mix of Days or Nights or Hybrid Working

About the Role:

As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people with complex needs. You will lead and motivate a team of support workers, ensuring high-quality care and support that promotes positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supporting a team of residential support workers
• Ensuring the highest standard of care for children and young people
