This is a varied role where you'll spend time both leading the team and being actively involved in service delivery. You'll help ensure that support is safe, person-centred, recovery-focused and delivered to the highest possible standard.

Working closely with the Service Manager and external partners, you'll be instrumental in creating an environment where people can develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising, coaching and supporting Mental Health Recovery Workers.
  • Ensuring high-quality, recovery-focused support is delivered consistently.
  • Managing and responding to risk, safeguarding concerns and crisis situations.
  • Supporting the development, induction and training of team members.
  • Acting as a key worker for a small number of people using the service.

  • Promoting positive risk-taking, independence and social inclusion.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience supporting people with severe mental illness or complex needs.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or leading staff.
  • A Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification, or you're working towards one.
  • A strong understanding of recovery-focused practice and positive risk management.
  • The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience assessing needs, developing support plans and managing risk.
  • A flexible approach to working within a 24/7 service.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience working within community services such as housing, employment, advice or wider support services.
  • Knowledge of mental health services and partner organisations across Coventry and Warwickshire.

If you’re passionate about empowering individuals, reducing stigma, and improving mental health outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
