Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join the newly-formed Respiratory Outpatients Physiotherapy service at NUH as a Band 7 team leader.
We are looking for an experienced band 6 or a current band 7 physiotherapist with a broad respiratory clinical skill set and a passion for service development/improvement. You will have strong leadership and management skills, with excellent teamwork and communication skills. Proven skills in quality improvement will be an advantage.
You will treat patients with bronchiectasis and dysfunctional breathing disorder in the outpatient setting. Our ambition is to extend the service to other chronic respiratory illnesses in the future. You will work alongside an experienced Highly Specialist COPD physiotherapist to co-lead innovative and person-centred development of an ever-changing service.
We are keen to help you progress your advanced clinical practice skills such as lung function and test doses of nebulised therapy, dependent on clinical need and your personal career goals.
You will contribute to the wider inpatient respiratory physiotherapy team and its out of hours service. You will have opportunities for development within Therapies through regular training and peer/line management supervision, and close support from B7 respiratory physiotherapists across medical and surgical specialties.

Physiotherapy and OT services are part of the Therapies, Outpatients and Phlebotomy Directorate, within Specialist Clinical Services at NUH. We are a diverse team of AHPs and support staff, employing over 800 staff, who works together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to. Our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprise of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists. We have a Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction, and many of the pathway leadership team have pathway AHP backgrounds to support our staff. There are also Practice Development Therapists to support career development for all.
