Role overview

You’ll be leading, motivating and inspiring a team of 8-10 colleagues within our Home Claims department, which has been going through some exponential growth – making for exciting times!

Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in
  • Supporting the Hastings Direct goal to become a market leading home claims handling function
  • Setting and managing annual and monthly objectives, providing coaching and development plans to support ongoing progression and ensuring annual PDRs are conducted
  • Ensuring payments are authorised in line with our departmental SLA’s and overseeing guidance and advice in respect of technical referrals
  • Conducting regular monthly audits on colleagues
  • Engaging and motivating the team, delivering effective meetings
  • Supporting the overall quality of claims handling internally and by outsourced partners
Essential skills/experience
  • Previous leadership experience (contact centre, claims or home claims experience highly beneficial)
  • Strong customer and colleague focus
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
The interview process

Our interview process involves the below:

  • Recruiter screening call
  • 1st stage interview with hiring leader (1 hour via Microsoft Teams)
  • 2nd interview with our Home Claims Director (30 minutes via Microsoft Teams)
