Job summary

Nursing Medical Recruitment in Blackpool is seeking a dedicated Team Leader for a Children's Residential Home. You will lead shifts, mentor staff, and work with the management team to deliver high standards of care. The role offers £15.00-£17.00 per hour (DOE) on a full-time, permanent basis with a 1 on, 2 off rota and sleep-in payments.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience in a Children's Residential Home.
• Experience leading shifts or as a Senior/Team Leader.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Passion for improving the lives of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
• Act as a positive role model for Residential Support Workers.
• Support children with their emotional, social and behavioural development.
• Promote positive outcomes through person-centred care.
• Complete and oversee accurate records, care plans and incident reports.
• Administer medication where required.
• Build positive relationships with families and external professionals.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures and Ofsted standards are met.
• Participate in team meetings, supervisions and training.
• Support new staff through mentoring and coaching.

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our children's residential home in Blackpool. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to lead by example, support a dedicated staff team, and make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people.

You'll work alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to provide outstanding care, ensure high standards of practice, and create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home.
• Acting as a positive role model for Residential Support Workers.
• Supporting children with their emotional, social and behavioural development.

• Completing and overseeing accurate records, care plans and incident reports.
• Administering medication where required.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a Children's Residential Home.
• Experience leading shifts or working as a Senior/Team Leader.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
