Job summary

Pfizer Care in Leyland, Lancashire is seeking a Team Leader in Children's Residential Care (EBD). You will lead a team of Residential Support Workers, support the Registered Manager, and ensure children aged 7-17 receive consistent, therapeutic care in a safe environment.

The role demands Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, at least 2 years' residential childcare experience, strong leadership and safeguarding knowledge, and flexibility for shifts including sleep-ins.

Qualifications

Salary: Up to £15 per hour + Enhancement for per sleep-in

About the Role

We are seeking passionate and experienced Team Leaders to join our residential childcare services. Homes provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments for children aged 717 with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD).

As a Team Leader, you will support the Registered Manager and lead a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring children receive consistent care, support, and guidance in a positive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to deliver excellent therapeutic care.
• Support care planning, risk assessments, and day-to-day routines.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, legislation, and internal procedures.
• Act as a positive role model for young people, promoting resilience, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
• Contribute to rota management, including sleep-ins and flexible shift coverage.
• Support childrens education, personal growth, and social development.

About You
