Trenewydd in Brecon, part of Shaw healthcare, is seeking a Residential Team Leader to lead a dedicated care team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

The role involves mentoring staff, coordinating shifts, ensuring safe medication administration and building strong relationships with residents, families and professionals; a commitment to compassionate leadership is essential.

Salary: £13.67/£15.70 per hour
Hours:14 hours as Team Leader / 17.5 hours as Support Worker (31.5 Total)
Shift Pattern: 7.15am - 2.45pm / 2.15 - 9.45pm / 7.15am - 9.45pm

About the Role

As a Residential Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where residents receive outstanding care every day.

You'll lead by example, supporting and motivating your team while ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained throughout every shift.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and supporting the care team to deliver exceptional person‑centred care

Promoting best practice at all times

Safely administering and recording medication in line with company policies

Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly

Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals

Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation

About You

We're looking for someone who combines compassion with confidence and enjoys supporting others to be their best.

Experience working within residential care for older people

An NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards it

Previous experience leading or mentoring colleagues, or the confidence to step into a leadership role

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A caring, patient and positive attitude
